first thing first, if youre planning to go out anytime of the day, this stylish home is just behind the central station (literally like 2 mins walk from home to the platform), allowing you to travel nationally and internationally. What can you ask for more when the most convenient public transport is just opposite to your vacation home? And if youre looking for night life and good restaurants, Kødbyen (meat packing district) is just 10 min walk, the owners even worked in one of the coolest bar there so youre certain to get free drinks lol We on the other hand recommend Patepate, good food and nice ambiance.
Back to the apartment, we cook our breakfast everyday, a few dinners as well, not because we hate Danish food that much, but because we totally adore their kitchen, you can find cook books and anything you need for cooking a big meal. Plus we really enjoy chatting while cooking in their kitchen coz its cozy and spacious. And of course we enjoyed our meal in their lovely dining area with candles lit, lovely tableware and stylish decor. Its like were already in a restaurant when sipping our wine and tasting our delicious food, We even had our little party on our last night there playing cards and games!
One of our biggest concerns before we got there was how warm the apartment is, all I can tell you is hot power shower runs 24 hrs a day and so are the warm heater and insulated rooms, so we are very happy in the cold weather. | The flat is just perfect if you are a family..or a couple (then you get more space you need even!). The owner welcomed us so nicely, helped us with our bags and kids on the way up to a reday to use flat: beds were made, fresh drinks waiting for us in the fridge, kids could play with the toys (which they liked very much! so many new to discover!)! We used the bikes too and what a blast we had visiting copenhagen! Thank you very much for this such lovely stay, we found in your house a home for a week and it just felt cosy and so very pleasant. Such a city week trip with 2 kids we never dreamed it could be as good! So we recommend this flat very much! by bike the city center is max 10 minutes, close to the zoo and other parks on the other side from the city center...you can choose what you want to do! supermarkets and nice bakery 2 minutes away, the flat has a nice small garden you can play with kids too...what more could you ask for! The apartment was very new and nicely decorated with Henriks paintings. It is facing a nice park and surrounded by buildings with special design. Orestad is very nice too full of very modern buildings. There is a big reserved area nearby that look like Africa. It is very nice cycling there. The apartment is close to a very big shopping mall and train station. It is one stop away from city center if you take the train. All the little extras (fresh flowers, drinks in the fridge, snacks, lots of fluffy towels, and nice body wash) were much appreciated. And it was great to be able to wash all our clothes. Its a long way up those 4 flights of stairs (particularly when carrying your bags after traveling all day!) but it was definitely worth it to have such a peaceful haven in such a convenient location. Before we left for Copenhagen, the owner sent us some neighborhood restaurant info, and later we did try almost all of her recommended places. They are not tourist and we were pleased because we could live a bit of the normal daily life of the local people. The neighborhood even has a small theater (The Republic), and on our last evening, we even went to see a live show at Republic - good experience. If you like walking, you will then easily navigate from the apt to the little mermaid, the city, museums, Christiania etc. It might involve some long walks though. Since we stepped on the land of Copenhagen to the last minute we left the city, everything related to the apt was smooth and easy - the owner received us warmly, gave us password for internet, mobiles numbers of multiple people in case of urgency, and on the last day, his friend came on time to return the deposit and pick up the key. My boyfriend and I had a good time in the city, partly due to our nice stay in the apt - it was a simple apartment and we felt we were having a holiday in a "home away from home". | Øresundsvej 51m2, Amager, nær Lergravsparken st.: Jeg blev godt modtaget af den venlige udlejer, hun gav mig en grundig rundvisning med oplysninger om hvor jeg kunne finde butikker, bager og lignende inden for nogle få minutters afstand. Jeg havde en fantastisk ferie i denne dejlige lejlighed som havde en fantastisk placering med kun nogle få minutters gang til Lergravsparken Metro hvorfra der er 5 min. til Kongens Nytorv. Det var også let at finde parkeringsplads i umiddelbar nærhed af lejligheden. Selv om der kan høres en smule trafikstøj fra gaden om dagen er der meget stille om natten så jeg sov som et barn :) Helt sikker den bedste måde at bo hvis man skal være bare nogle få dage i København og denne lejlighed kan absolut anbefaldes da den er særdeles veludstyret.Eydun, Hoyvík |

| The apartment was marvelous!! Myself, husband and 3 older children felt very relaxed and at home. There was plently of room to spread out in the living room as well as in the kitchen for family dinners and family games......the T.V was never even turned on! The apartment was also very quiet even though its in the city. We all found ourselves sleeping very late!! The apartment has everything you need to be comfortable and feel at home.There were 4 of us, myself, my husband and 2 teenage children, 13 and 18. It is clean and beautifully furnished with great views across futuristic Orestad. The transport links are great and you are in the centre in no time, the shops are close and there is a great place for coffee over the road. If you have young kids the playgrounds outside the apartment are safe, car free and exciting. The owner couldnt have been more helpful, he gave us maps advice on where to go including the best ice cream parlour ever. We had a great holiday and loved Copenhagen despite the fact that it rained almost every day of the 8 days we spent there, this was largely down to been in such a good spot, everything was so accessible. It was handy to the Metro (short walk) and 1 or 2 stations brought you in to the centre of Copenhagen. We also walked to the centre on a few occasions.
The apartment is clean. Bathroom small but adequate.
The information package that the owners had prepared was complete and gave us good tips on what to see.

The owners were very helpful and friendly. They made us unexpected favour - due to other circumstances my daughter arrived one day earlier than the reservation date and the owners offered her real family hospitality. They did this free of charge and out of good will. One hardly finds this nowadays...
The property provided everything that was promised in the advertisement so no unpleasant surprises and disappointments. The kitchen was fully equipped with what a family would need in everyday life - up to coffee filters, spices for your own cooked dishes and laundry and dishwasher detergents. Wi-fi was reliable and at sufficient speed. Most of the TV channels were in Danish but there were one or two in German and English. We didnt use the audio system at all but it looked of good quality. There were detailed instructions in Danish and English how to manipulate the equipment in the apartment and what the rules during the stay are.
The flat is located at a very convenieent place - close to bus stops and metro station so transportation around the city is easy.
This area of Copenhagen was very quiet so its not suitable if you make plans to organise parties at home. Also, theres no lift so keep this in mind if wondering how much luggage to take with you - you have to climb a steep staircase up to the third floor. The back staircase that is used when disposing of the waste (or if you want to use the free BBQ in the back yard) is even steeper. The stay was absolutely fabulous. The apartment is in a very good condition - well kept and furnished with everything that is necessary for a holiday stay. The location is very good - very close to transport connections and walking distance from the center. Good location in relation to shops and parks.
Apartment was in a very clean condition.
The meeting with the owner was pretty positive in the beginning of the stay - we were issued an invoice with all the details of the payment.
If we are to go back on vacation in Denmark we will definitely book this apartment again.

The apartment is in excellent shape, and is large enough that 5 people dont feel like theyre living on top of each other. Everything was very clean, and amenities (cafes, grocery, etc) are all close by, and only a 15 minute walk from the closest Metro (Forum) which was very convenient.
The apartment was clean and presentable, and has a lot of personality that made our stay feel very cozy and welcoming, instead of just being drab like a lot of hotels.
Owner was very welcoming to us, and was understanding when our flight was delayed meaning that we arrived around midnight!
We had a fantastic stay, and I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a relaxing weekend in Copenhagen.

| Stylish apartment smack in the middle. We stayed at the apartment for one week and were really impressed by both the quality of the apartment as well as its location.
We can recommend it to anyone who is looking for top interior design in the heart of Copenhagen.
Of course, this comes at a price.
The apartment is suitable for a couple and a baby - but bring your baby bed along. I dont see how 4 people can fit in (as described above) as there is only one queen sized bed and a sofa that doesnt fold out.
Other than that its really new, the kitchen is therefore in a very good condition, like everything in this apartment.
Owners father went out of his way to make us feel comfortable.

The apartment was within very easy walking distance of the heart of the city, and the metro quickly took us everywhere else (including to the airport and back). Its only a 3 minute walk to the metro/central communter station.
The apartment is small, but very comfortable. Its excellent to have a kitchen (prices in Denmark are very high, so being able to prepare simple meals made our stay much more affordable). Grocery stores are around the corner (as are some very good restaurants). The apartment and neighborhood felt very safe.
With regard to the apartment itself, the main room was large and airy and pleasant with a very comfortable bed and overlooking a nice courtyard. The w.c. was cramped, but we didnt mind a bit. It was also quiet, which was very welcome after coming home from a long day of touring. People with physical limitations should understand that (as advertised) the apartment is up several flights of stairs.
Arrangements were as smooth as could be. The owner corresponded with us promptly and left very clear directions.

We walked everywhere - Tivoli, Nyhavn, shopping streets and restaurants. It was also quiet and private. The only slight hiccup was that the basement where the washing machine was located had been flooded because of exceptionally heavy rain, so there were no laundry facilities. The apartment was situated just a 15 minute walk from the urban centre and main metro station. We really liked that the building itself surrounded a courtyard, where couples and families routinely gathered to share meals and to engage in recreational activities. Dealing with the owner was also a great experience. A lovely lady who went out of her way to help us as much as she could...even with our somewhat stupid requests and questions ;)
The only thing that would have made this experience even better than it already was is to have had a lift in the building, as the apartment is on the top floor so you have to walk up about 5 flights of stairs which can be only slightly exhausting after a day of walking around on Copenhagens uneven pavements...Good exercise though!!!reviewer89, Brighton |

It had every kitchen utensil you needed, along with a good selection of spices etc so you didnt need to buy anything. The laptop and internet acces was fantastic and so easy to use, there were comprehensive instructions on how to use everything and we were also given a guided tour by owner when we arrived and everything clearly explained.
The location is fantastic. There is a metro and bus stop within a few metres of the apartment, and the transport system in Copenhagen is very efficient although expensive. We would definately recommend this apartment, much better value than a hotel and so much nicer.Mairi, Perth |

The apartment is at the fourth floor (without elevator) but isnt really a problem, unless you have physical inhabilities, in which case is better to find another one.
The bed, bathroom and kitchen are OK, and the whole apartment is very lovely. Theres no TV inside but for us this was really not an issue; internet connection is fast and reliable.

The owner went above and beyond by providing us useful information and directions to shops etc as we were concerned things would be closed. This apartment, although situated in the bustling heart of the cosmopolitan neighbourhood of Noerrebro, is nestled in a quiet courtyard away from the hustle & bustle. This makes for the perfect retreat after long days exploring all that Copenhagen has to offer.
It sits at the top of a five floor apartment block, where across the hall lives your hospitable hostess, Ellen. The main living, dining, cooking area has everything you need for a comfortable stay, including WiFi & a decent Hi-Fi with a jack for your Mp3 player. The bedroom is small, and basic, but all that you need to rest your head after a long day. Likewise the shower-room offers no great luxuries, but a decent hot shower, sink and toilet, which all did that they should. The apartments windows all face out in an Easterly direction, affording some beautiful sunrise views over the rooftops and church spire.
All in all, we couldnt have asked for a cosier space to spend a cold December week in Copenhagen. Would recommend to young couples, who dont mind stairs!Sophie, Glasgow |

The apartment itself is located in a nice and safe family friendly neighborhood. Even though the apartment is not in the center, there are several bus stops within a block or two of the apartment that will take you to the center or various other locations around Copenhagen. The apartment is very big and has a nice kitchen and large private outdoor patio. The beds in the apartment were not very comfortable, but this would really be our only complaint. If you have small children the second bedroom is not suitable as it has very steep stairs going down to it, but it is easy to close this area off from the rest of the apartment, as we did, making sure that our daughter slept in the first bedroom.Jas, Oslo, Norway |

The house was clean, had lots of space, and provided all the needed things for a comfortable stay such as cookware, laundry facilities and even toys for our son. Grocery shopping is close by, as well as excellent restaurants and bars. The only improvement would be to have at least one additional adult sized bed instead of mattresses on the floor - otherwise it would get 5 stars.
The host was very easy to work with and very accommodating to our needs.

| Brolæggerstræde B 90m2, City, nær Strøget: Great central Copenhagen location. The best thing about this apartment was its central location. It was also surprisingly quiet apart from one night when there was a late night party at a cafe over the road. Otherwise only melodic church bells kept us awake at night.
The apartment is well equipped and has free wifi, which we took full advantage of.
Only quibbles were that the duvets were heavy duty and it was a very hot week. The apartment is on the ground floor and although it seemed possible to open the windows securely, we werent that comfortable with doing that.
Also the website advertises a washing machine in the basement. Howeever this isnt normally avaiable to visitors. The owner agreed to let us use it but we had to tell him when wed be washing. In the event, we managed without.
As for Copenhangen, cost apart, it was a great place to spend a holiday. Lots to do, a lovely feel to the place and it was easy to travel around the region by bus and train.Chris, England |
| Brolæggerstræde B 90m2, City, nær Strøget: very convenient location. The apartment was super convenient to all locations and the fact it had to 2 BR and 2 Baths was important to us. The kitchen was well equiped with necessary equipment. The beds were comfortable, and all linens were fine. The owners were very accomodating and invited us to call if we had any problems. All the electronic equipment worked well.
On the downside...you cant live right downtown and not expect noise - there was a fair amount of street traffic at night after the bars closed and we were ok with that. We had the unfortunate timing of being there while they were putting in new sidewalks right outside our windows and that was extremely noisy - often starting right after 7 am and it was so loud that we had to yell to hear each other. One thing about these Danish workers though - they would come early - start working like mad and then in an hour or two go on break or lunch - and never come back until the next morning. Who could have predicted that and we think the location made up for the negatives.
I would suggest to the owner that he replace the carpeting which is really dirty
If we come back to Denmark and require this size apartment again, we would consider renting here again.

We had the impression that the owner has only recently started letting it.

We could be in the center of Copenhagen within 10 minutes.
The reason why I put 4/5 instead of 5/5 is that there is only 1 toilet in 1 bathroom for an appartment made for 8 people.

The location of this apartment couldnt have been better - in walking distance of the centre, but located in the up and coming Vesterbro district (think Shoreditch, London ten years ago) . The apartment itself was very comfortable and spacious for two guests, had good views back and front and was quiet at night. A cafetiere or similar would have been a nice touch, but with all manner of cafés, restaurants, bars and shops on your doorstep, not really an issue. Theres a supermarket opposite, too. I chuckled at the previous review which mentioned the stairs, but if youre not fit and healthy, the 72 stairs (we counted them!) to get to the apartment may not be for you. | Amager Landevej 110m2, Kastrup, nær Bella Center: We enjojed the stay with good comfort and perfekt cleanliness. It was a good stay at the amagar Landevej apartment in Copenhagen. Owner was a very nice and helpful host. The value and location was very good, lots of supermarkets were around.
The rooms were good, but it was not so good, that some windows in the rooms were not to open, so that there was no fresh air. Because there was only one bathromm, we had to organize good at the morning. I think it would be helpful to hang a mirror in every room, so that you have not to hurry in the bath.
Would it be an idea to have wireless lan in the apartment?
All in all we had a pleasant stay with no complications and problems. Also the reservation was very good.

Theres also a supermarket & a 7/11 nearby for necessities. Most convenient is the ATM machine located just outside the building. When I saw it was on a busy main road I was worried as I cant stand a lot of noise. Once taking the lift (note: 4 stairs before the lift) to the 5th floor, I realised there wasnt any road noise to worry about. The beautiful building with triple glazing stops all noise.
The very pleasant owner was there to greet me and give me some useful tourist information.
The apartment was spotless, nicely appointed and spacious. The roof terrace is a lovely bonus. The owner obviously likes to cook as the kitchen was well equiped and had great knives... what a pleasure!!
On the negative: The old TV didnt impress me. Nor the 2 single mattresses in one of the bedrooms. These mattresses are not really suitable for most adults, My friend who is of average build managed, but wasnt really comfortable.
I was surprised that the owners left so many items unlocked. I presume theres a lot taken on trust.
We walked along to visit nearby Tivoli, smaller than we thought it would be, and had an expensive entry fee. This was my first visit to Copenhagen, the city was full of scaffolding and road works. Some local people told me they are really fed up with the situation as its been like this for ages. It was difficult to find an historic building that wasnt being refurbished.
Would I rent an apartment again...definately, it was a great way to relax with a friend.

Although quite a walk from the city center, it is located in a residential area of the city. However, bus 1a has a stop very near it so you can be in the city centre within minutes.
The rooms are big and the kitchen well-stocked. The only down side is the small toilet. The entire floor gets wet when one takes a shower. Bring your flip flops to remedy having to jump like a kangaroo from the door to use the toilet.
The free Wi-Fi is a big plus as well as the large collection of CDs that the owner allowed us to use for free. There are also a variety of English books that you can read.
I would highly recommend this apartment for those who have kids since they have a separate room that is full of toys which your children can use.
The owners are very helpful and nice. They even lent us a second set of keys even though in the contract it only states one set of keys are given.

Super convenient with grocery store across the street and several good restaurants in nearby buildings. For families and swimmers you also have the Vandkulturhuset only a few blocks away (DGI byen); nice and comfortable break from city strolling. Stairs no problem if youre in good shape. Comfortable bed in main bedroom -- the 5cm foam mattresses right on the floor in the extra bedroom might be more of a problem for comfort seekers (but fair enough at this price and good enough for kids and mums with a sporty/scout attitude). We did however find it very risky that there are no fire/smoke detectors in a 5th floor flat; should be installed in a rental apartment. Very nice and helpful owner/lessor. The apartment was very clean, spacious enough for two people, fine storage opportunities, perfect. 1 minute by foot there is a Netto store convenient to do some grocery shopping. There is also a bus stop with a bus every 5 minutes to go to central Copenhagen in just 10 minutes. There is also the Copenhagen Zoo nearby which is worth seeing. Metro doesnt get there, so I hope you enjoy walking (there are buses too but we didnt use them). About 15 min to the metro. New very cool indoor market place close by if you are a foodie (Israels plads).
The place itself is spacious and clean. I must say it is a bit worn out and I think it would need a bit more effort to make it cozy (which would be possible) but overall we were ok with it. The apartment is a bit cold so I recommend sweater and slippers (etc) during winter.

| Peder Hvitfeldts Stræde 90m2, City, nær Rundetårn: Wonderful place but a little warm at night. The flat was such a wonderful place to spend our holiday. It was so close to everything and a great location to explore the city from. We had everything we needed to be comfortable during the day. I would recommend having a fan available as the bedroom off the kitchen can get warm at night making it difficult to sleep. Making additional pillows available would be very nice too. Having directions on how to use the TV would be helpful. We had a channel at one point and then the TV went to static. Toward the end of our stay we ran out of hot water and some of us had to take cold showers but this was a result of all the rain as I understand it and the warm water came back within 24 hours. Communications with the owner about the water was very pleasant and helpful. I would recommend this flat to others but I would communicate with them about the warmth, TV and pillows.Amy, Portland. The owner (an artist) normally lives in the appartment and the house is comfortable and complete from kitchen equipment to WiFi. The interior is full of surprises and ornaments, in warm colours. Something you must like (we did!)
Appartment is located in a central, save and lively area, just across a Supermarket. Parking is expensive. I was not impressed with cleanliness and some parts of the house need maintenance.

The apartment was great for one person, but honestly I do not know about for more than 1. The owner allowed me to use his bike whenever I wanted and that hospitality was awesome. The apartment is very well located, in a charming neighborhood with many shops and cafes, and very well communicated with the city center. It is a very nice and comfortable apartment but has only a few things that could be improved: the toilet is really small, the second bed was very poor... but anyway, it was a very good choice for the price you pay.

Note that the shower is in the small kitchen and the toilet is in a very small room, which is really no big deal. I would suggest to the owner to purchase some new pillows, some white towels and a large enough mirror so one can shave comfortably.

Lots of cafes, bars and take aways and also a supermarket nearby. We stayed here with toddlers and there was a brilliant interior communal garden to use and there was also a good selection of toys to play with. Good functional kitchen with everything you need and a washing machine. The owner is very helpful and speaks English. Key exchange was straightforward. Copenhagen is a great city for toddlers and families there is stacks to do and lots of green spaces to relax in.Abi, north shields |
